Calling all working, stay-at-home working, wish you were working, wish you weren’t working people! Those animals we call our children are soon going to be released from captivity. We need to rally now, people, before they take over the world. What better way to keep them inline and out of our hair then…SUMMER CHORES!!!!!

Here are some chore suggestions to keep them occupied: {Note: These are just suggestions. Some chores may need to be supervised by an adult.}

For older piggies:

  • Pick-up room
  • Make bed
  • Fold laundry
  • Put clothes/laundry away in room
  • Clean sink in bathroom
  • Clean toilets
  • Clean tub/shower
  • Pick-up basement/playroom
  • Pick-up backyard/outside
  • Empty dishwasher
  • Vacuum/sweep
  • Dust
  • Get mail
  • Gather trash
  • Put trash out
  • Babysit
  • Feed/bathe animals

For younger piglets:

  • Pick-up room
  • Make bed
  • Delivery clothes/laundry to correct room
  • Pick-up basement/playroom
  • Pick-up backyard/outside
  • Put clean silverware away (minus sharp knives)
  • Dust
  • Clean counters
  • Help water flowers
  • Feed animals

I’m sure there are more chores…let me know if I left something off. I’m always eager to add more chores to my kids’ lists…wink, wink. Also, do you have a reward system for doing chores? What is it? That is my next step. Remember, chores are fun!
