My Last Day of Wisdom

My Last Day of Wisdom

Today is my last day of wisdom. Okay, I confess. I lost half of my wisdom 20 years ago and a good portion was also sucked out of my brain with each child I birthed into this world. I have almost half of my wisdom left, and tomorrow it is going away.

20 years ago I had half my wisdom teeth removed. I was fresh out of college in a new job and a newlywed to boot. My insurance would only pay for one side of my wisdom teeth removal. I believe there was a reason for this. I was meant to have half of my wisdom into my middle years. I think this half-bit-of-wisdom helped me decide to become a stay-at-home parent. It helped me to learn how to “sort of” cook. It inspired my design and crafts. It was the push I needed to start this blog. What will happen to me after tomorrow? Who will help solve my family’s problems? Who will write Modern Mom Proverbs? How will I explain to my boys about the birds and the bees or why navy doesn’t go with black?

I’ve already canceled my surgery once. I have to do it. Everybody is on to me. It’s been a good ride being wise. I hope I don’t throw up.

Oh, by the way, did I mention my surgery is tomorrow…FRIDAY THE 13TH.
