DIY Purple People Eater Monster Halloween Wreath

Halloween doesn’t have to be scary, it can be cute too! You will be the coolest house on the block when you hang this Purple People Eater Monster Halloween Wreath. I first saw the original tutorial {HERE} by Baby Rabies, and knew I had to make one for myself. Enjoy!

What you will need:

  • Wire wreath frame
  • Large spool of purple tulle
  • 2 styrofoam balls
  • Paint
  • Ribbon
  • Hot glue gun (not pictured)
  • White felt (not pictured)
  • Paper clips (not pictured)

Instructions:

1. Cut your strips of tulle by wrapping your tulle around a box (I used a cereal box) and then cutting both ends. My strips where roughly 12″ long.

2. Tie your tulle strips around your wreath. Make a loop with the tulle and lay under the frame. Take the two end pieces and pull them through the loop. Pull tight and fluff. Continue to tie tulle strips around the entire wreath making sure you use enough tulle to make it fluffy.

3. Paint eyes on  your styrofoam balls and set aside to dry.

4. Make a bow tie out of your ribbon and attached the tie to the wreath using an unwound paperclip hot-glued to the back of the tie.

5. Attach the eyeballs to the wreath by using an unwound paperclip inserted into the styrofoam ball eye then twisting the end of the paperclip around the wire wreath frame.

6. Using your white felt, measure and cut out the monster teeth and hot glue to the back of the wreath.

7. Tie a colorful ribbon at the top of the wreath to hang on the door.
